Yeehaa
We have a little friend playing in the tree next to us this morning - so cute (and yes I know they are vermin over here but we don't have them, so they are still cute).... This chap is jumping on the arrow to make it swing around and then running up & down the tree taking more turns.
The camp has had a river through it but it clears long enough to finish packing - fortunately Daryl read the forecast and put everything away last night. After breakfast I head to the bathrooms in an attempt to beat the next downpour, but alas I don't make it and get stuck in the bathhouse until Daryl comes and rescues me about 15 minutes later with raincoat in hand!
Once the rain eases, we pack up and hit the road to Kentucky.
Again, not a very exciting route down the I64 into Indiana and then cut across the bottom of Indiana into Kentucky. There does look to be some interesting towns off the interstate but we are on a mission and keep hauling.
Crossing the bridge below from Indiana into Kentucky.
As we cross over, much to our dismay our of ramp is closed with a detour which takes us right into the heart of Louisville downtown.........
Not much fun to be driving a RV with tow car downtown in any city and this one is no different........
I snap a couple of picks between trying o decipher the GPS instructions as Daryl drives (and curses).
Finally we get through the city and head out down towards Shepherdsville where our camp is only to hit a traffic jam, such fun in the cities!
The culprit....a semi on its side in the grass....
We finally get into camp and set up. Later Danny, Jadzia, Mark & Robyn call into visit us at camp and check out the RV.
We arrange to met them at their hotel in the morning with our jug & coffee......
