Paradise & Big M Auto Salvage, Williams CA

We are looking at a truck up in Sacramento, so hook a ride with Duane who has a van to pick up from Paradise.  The truck, which was up a very narrow lane, turned out to be an old milk truck like from Benny Hill days.

Another overloaded vehicle we passed along the way back......

Duane took us to visit Big M Auto Salvage in Williams, California.  Wow if you are looking for parts this guy just might have them - so many wrecks, engines, parts....... amazing.

Daryl could have spent hours here, happy as Larry........

Some pretty cool stuff including signs and love the plate wall too.

More cars waiting for their new owners parked out the front of the house, being in the middle of the wrecking yard.  Cool people & a cool place.
We stayed the night in Williams and Duane took us to a buffet before going to a bar in the back of the local general store - themed with stuffed animals....another good night.  Next morning we head into Sacramento to check out the truck which turned out to be a dud - had no papers and a lean (finance) despite being told it was clean and they had the title.  We told the guy to forget it!

Hot Rod Reunion - Bakersfield

A great day
out at Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield and it was cool to catch up with more of our Kiwi friends.

We also caught up with Tony again, who we purchased the 40 Coupe from down in Tucson back in 2013.

Cash, Duane's son, even got to sit in Tony's funny car - every little boys dream.

We love having the humming birds around our RV - they are so beautiful. Wish we had them down in NZ.

Our thanks to Duane for his hospitality once more - we had a great time staying with him again.
