Shawboro, NC to Williamsburg, VA

As we leave camp & drive down the country road passing a field of soya beans, we are gop smacked &Daryl tries to slam on the brakes.   Out of the soya beans, pops the head of a big black bear, now on his hind legs, its head swivels around to watch us a couple of times & then pops back down.  You would never know - it was quite comical & so cool to see.

Another long trip across this piece of USA today - we are back tracking from Shawboro to Williamsburg just south of Richmond before heading to Washington DC.  This road is under reconstruction plus has bridges under the sea to Virginia Beach, so both ways we have struck long delays in traffic.

It also turns out to be the Hampton's.......
The trip was to be about an hour and a half which took around three hours through busy roads...................say no more.

Some of the aircraft carriers we passed along the way.

We were happy to get into camp and set up before having a quick look down town.  We decide to stay another day and thankfully the next camp is happy to move our reservation a day ahead.
