Colorado Springs to Cheyenne, WY

Heading north we cross through Denver, which we visited briefly in 2013.

Moving up to Cheyenne, Wyoming, we learn that Frontier Days is on ......not knowing what this is, we do not know what to look for or expect.  Stopping at the Welcome Centre as we cross over the border, the lady gives us a schedule of events that are on for the next few days and info.

Arriving in camp, the place is busy and we set up just in time to miss the thunder storm that rolls on in with hail in tow.  Once this clears the area, we head out to see what town is all about and go for a wander around.

Union Pacific Railway as we cross over the railway hub on an over bridge into town.

Frontier Days 120th year......

Downtown Cheyenne - State Capitol of Wyoming.  The State Capitol building was closed for renovations so no pics on this.....

The town is of course 'Western' and The Wrangler has all the western clothes so we spent some time there looking around and Daryl brought a couple of shirts.

Some lovely old buildings.
