Moving on with our tour, we join 500 others on the train trip to Whittier, where we will all board our ship for the cruise.
The scenery along the way was beautiful as with all of Alaska.
The train has a glass top and so affords great views as we wind our way through towns and countryside.
Some of the views as we cruise on through to Whittier.
Great scenery - you get the picture......
We pass through the 4 mile tunnel which is shared with cars and comes out in Whittier.
The train rolls in and we see our ship waiting for us - we are the last to arrive.
Finally we start our cruise and toast as we wave goodbye to Whittier.
We are looking forward to the cruise, after the land tour which we found disappointing, and the weather has improved, so fingers crossed it stays good for our sailing.
Don't forget the awesome company you had on the trip! I'm speaking of Natalia of course since I was so tired and the train ride so relaxing that I passed out for most of it =0
