Juneau, Alaska - Day 4

Juneau is the capital of Alaska and our second stop over on day 4 of our cruise.

We head into town and find the usual jewellery and tourist shops..........

Juneau is only accessible by air or ship as there are no roads in and only 40 miles of road around Juneau.

We do town and then take the cable tram up the hill as the weather has cleared a bit and we hope to see something more.

View from the top looking down over Juneau & the boats - there were four docked in town today.

Grand Princess - our ship.

We take a walk around up top but the weather is changing again and we head down soon after.

The Bald Eagle is a rescue bird they take care of and the other was in a tree beside cable tram as we descended.

We were disappointed in Juneau - it was over priced and had nothing very exciting to offer.

As we sail away tonight, we take our stand at the end of the boat and can see the humpbacks blowing water in the distance - they are neat to watch but wish they could have been a little closer.
