Cruise - Day 6 & 7

Day 6 of the cruise is at sea and we float through the channels and Queen Charlotte Sound towards Vancouver.  Just like our Queen Charlotte Sound, the scenery is beautiful with land on both sides and we keep our eyes peeled for humpbacks again but don't sight any today.

A sad feeling as we move through towards Vancouver knowing the cruise is over which we have enjoyed - feels like our holiday is over although in reality we have another two weeks to travel back down to LA before heading home.

The scenery is hard to describe and unless you see it you just can't do it justice but if you are considering doing an Alaskan cruise we would highly recommend it and feel it would be hard to beat this scenery anywhere in the world.

We have dinner with Harry & Pat Futch from Florida who we met on the Denali tour and have enjoyed their company during the land and cruise package.

A neat couple and an enjoyable evening.

Dave & Angela from Midlands, England became our drinking buddies on the cruise - we started exchanging banter on the land tour as we heard the English accent and from there it snow balled.

Great couple and plenty of laughs along with a few head aches were shared.

We also met Anthony & Natalia on the train and many times on the boat - great fun and lovely couple.  Anthony is a submariner with the US Navy, so was right at home on the boat.

  1. You do know that submarines go down under the water right? These neat things that are on top of the water and move around are known as targets in my line of work :)
