Day 3 - our first port stop is Skagway, Alaska.
Well what can we say.....jewellery shops galore!!!
Of course, Daryl had to find his fix with an old model A and a cab over.
The town itself was wooden boardwalks and looked like a set out of an old western movie, but was jewellery shop after jewellery shop with a few tourist shops in between - virtually all tied up with Princess or other cruise lines.
Found an old train parked up out the back as we wandered around town.
Picturesque and quaint......we eventually went a couple of blocks out , which was about the width of the town and found a pub where we had fish & chips for lunch - nice but highly expensive. Lunch will be on the boat from now on.
Another custom Chev pick up - nicely done.
We head back to our ship (above) for a break before heading back out again to see what else we can find - many have opted for train trips or other tours available but we have stayed to look around the towns themselves.
Waiting out a short down pour under a tree.
Back on the boat, we have another swim and steam before changing for dinner and finding a restaurant.
One of the many water falls we float past during dinner and as usual, we enjoy the view from the back of the boat before calling it a night.
