Issaquah to Surrey, Canada

Bellevue - another city in the Seattle greater area.
So today we are heading to cross the border to Canada, having organised a camp for the next two days in Surrey, storage for the RV while we take our tour and for the car at the airport in Vancouver.  Surrey is not far over the border and about 1/2 an hour from the Vancouver airport, so should be right for the 8th when we head in to take our flights to Anchorage and then Fairbanks.

On the way out of Seattle, we spot this thing..........it appears confused between being a car or a motorcycle.

Some beautiful scenery as we head north in the US.

An old railway bridge as we wind our way north towards the border.

Getting closer now....

And then finally, we are there waiting our turn to enter Canada.  No problems, we go more or less straight through with no major questions.

We find our camp, which is only 7 miles north of the border and after setting up and checking the place out, we head out to find a supermarket which proves more difficult than we anticipated as do not know what the brands are called up and the GPS takes us to a little diary type store.

We decide to look around and find White Rock beach, so park up and take a stroll down the beach.

The water is so warm, we paddle along for some way before walking up by the pier and back along the frontage to the car - the place is full of eateries and very popular as it is Saturday afternoon after all.

Eventually we head off up very steep streets that would rival Dunedin and search out a supermarket to pick up some things needed for the next two days.  Then back home for a bourbie and BBQ.
