Gettysburg

We head out to see some more of Gettysburg this morning,  going back to some shops we passed on the auto tour. 


Gettysburg is a tourist town but has a different feel about it - lots of lovely old buildings, most have cellars as you can see the windows at street level.

Even the dogs have all the gear over here!




Ghost tour anyone?????

We walk quite a few blocks and eventually find the town centre which we did not know about........

We have a cheap lunch in a café on the square and go for a poke around the shops.

Guess what season it is............

 There were some different shops in this town with very different wares, as well as a tonne of war shops - any war.....


They had stuff from both sides in every war you could think of, parts of planes, uniforms, maps, swords, guns.........................................etc.

We spend most of the day walking around Gettysburg but both of us have decided we do not need to stay another day, as previously thought we may need more time here.


Home to plan our next move - we are turning around to go back to California.
