Friday was wet again and we spent the morning catching up on maintenance and laundry....exciting stuff. No matter where you are in the world there is no getting away from the mundane chores such as washing.
In the afternoon we headed down to Cedarville & Hessel where Daryl had found a classic car show and antique boat show - they are only a couple of minutes apart at the bottom of UP Michigan, a hour down from where we are staying.
First we went to Hessel and found a few of the boats at the marina (the show actually isn't until Saturday) and while there, the cars cruised through the town, so we jumped in the coupe and tagged along on the cruise back to Cedarville.
Classic old boats mostly built around 1948 by Chris Craft - great lines and fantastically restored.
The car show turned out to be the first one for Cedarville but it still attracted 68 entries - they were only expecting 40, so that was a pretty good turn out.
This was the top car a an Overland and we met the owner, Hank who also had a 1940 Deluxe Coupe convertible in the show and hit it off with Daryl straight away.
Some more boats moored at Cedarville.
Daryl wanted to come back for the boat show the next day but we had already booked the Agawa Canyon Train trip for Saturday.
