We left Estes this morning for Loveland to attend the Goodguys Event - the drive from Estes to Loveland is one of the most beautiful that we have been on, following the river all the way and just lovely with houses down on the rivers edge - really neat area and are a little sad to be moving on.
Fly fishing is very popular here |
You will have to forgive the photography but as you will have guessed, taken out the window as we drove past. These are some of the cottages but the real flash houses are amazing and beautiful.
We arrived and set up camp, then went down and registered for the event. Naturally we put ourselves down for long distance (it asked for how many miles, so Daryl wrote, 'bottom of the world'), will be interesting to see how many others compete as we were about 8th on the list and the others were all USA. Don't think too many others can beat our distance but you never know!
After doing the shopping we cruised down to Pinkie's for the welcome party but it was overcrowded and the line for food was huge with no end, so we kept driving and came home for a nice BBQ and a bourbon.
Daryl cleaned the car which took approximately 4 hours as he kept talking to everyone!
