Fond du Lac - Sturgeon Bay

With a severe weather warning for thunder storms and lighting with heavy rain, we were loaded up last night and on the road before 9am this morning heading for Harbour Village Resort, just above Sturgeon Bay on the peninsula into Lake Michigan above Green Bay.  We stopped and stocked up our food as the warning includes large hail which we don't want as it could damage the coupe.

Crossing the draw bridge - such a narrow opening and this is actually an island when you look at a map.

We arrive and choose a spot (which took some time.....), covering up the car as much as possible, our neighbour comes over and offers us a tarp to cover it - very nice of him, so we have it strapped up with tarps and covers tucked in our site under the forest trees.  Fingers crossed it is not too bad up here - it looked slightly better than lower down.

The storm ends up passing above us rather than below as earlier thought, so we return the tarp with a box of beer.  The afternoon was beautiful but a little bit of rain that night - not too much.

Didn't think it amounted to much but later next day heard there was a small tornado up on the tip of the pennisula so maybe we were just lucky!
