Grand Junction to Richfield, Utah

As we pull out of of camp and pass through Grand Junction, there is railway yard full of engines - too many to count and several lanes deep, no carriages, just engines.

It is only about 15 miles before we leave Colorado and enter Utah.

Travelling across the I70 to Richfield, Utah - this is new teritory for us as we have not done this part of the I70 after the turn off from Moab.

It looked pretty boring on the map but it turned out to be very scenic and quite beautiful in its own way.

We passed several FedEx trucks - all three trailers long, going both ways.

The road was pretty good and not too busy, two lanes and smooth, so a good drive.

Stopping for our first photo shoot with the mountains in the background.  Some amazing scenery.

Next stop on the San Rafel Reef.

Changing landscape and colours as we wind our way through the slopes.

The Black Dragon Glass outlook was the next stop.

The long and windy road...............

More scenic pics......

And they just slice the road through the rocks.

Still some wildflowers around, even at this time of year.
Our camp site tonight in Richfield.
